  1. Interesting choice.

I’d favor the rice cake : echoes Korea / diversity of styles… not to mention the fact that authors are like ogres, they have layers (bonus: too much soju and they turn green).

Deoksugung walls (because of the shadows), and for the pipes on the wall (utterly Seoulite) are also OK, but less striking / intriguing.

  3. I’m down with the rice cakes. The colors look cool. I think this cover would attract people’s attention in stores like What the Book, and, yes, there’s the bonus of having the cover tie in with Korean culture. Hail to the rice cake!

  4. I have to say I actually really disliked the rice cake cover, just a bit too colorful … if distinctively Korean and attention-grabbing. I’m more for either cover from the second line, I like the geometry of the former and the perspective/shadow on the latter.

  6. i had a think about it & still favor rice cake as having best shelf presence-colorful, also relevant to sww be write in sk. 2nd choice spiral books- for same reasons.
red pipe tiles also nice – geometry/color.

brown wall too much like previous cover.

body shots better for fiction soft porn women’s lit.

  7. Well, you’ve got 7 photos and, um, like, 5 of them are blurry. Is this some new wave in photography? ALL of the ones with the girl are just plain silly and entirely inappropriate – this isn’t the Vagina Monologues…

The book spiral is interesting, but the rice one definitely stands out the most – and really, it’s the only one that has any visible connection whatsoever to the country we’re in…

Why can’t we have a cool photo of a neon night in the city, something that actually represents Seoul? Doesn’t seem like it’d be too hard to get. Just a thought…
